A value of one point zero indicates the average or expected citation rates calculated for publications in the defined Journal Subject Category comparison group. For every year from 1995 to 2009, the average normalized citation count for ASD publications in higher than one.  The highest value occurred in 2009, with an average normalized citation count of one point seven, which indicates that ASD articles are cited, on average, 70% more often than related publications in the broader journal subject categories.
