Line graph. The y-axis plots the annual percentage of autism research publications with 2-year citation counts among the top 10% of related Journal Subject Category publications. The x-axis is years from 1995 to 2009.  Beginning in 1995, approximately 6% of ASD publications were among the top 10% most highly cited publications for the entire year.  This proportion generally increased from year to year up through 2009, when approximately 13% of ASD publications were among this most highly cited group.
