Line graph. The y-axis plots the number of ASD publications and the x-axis plots the year of publication from 1980 to 2010.  There are six lines on the graph representing the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, and the last line represents all other countries combined.  Since 1980, all groups have substantially increased their annual output of ASD publications and the US has always published the most ASD research articles per year, starting at 46 publications in 1980 and ending with 1,040 publications in 2010.  The group with the second highest end value in 2010 was all other countries, starting with 16 publications in 1980 and ending with 723 publications in 2010. Next is the United Kingdom which published 1 ASD article in 1980 and 287 articles in 2010.  The country with the fourth highest end value in 2010 was Canada, starting with 5 publications in 1980 and ending with 137 publications in 2010.  Fifth is the Netherlands, which published zero articles in 1980 and 97 articles in 2010. The sixth country on the graph is Italy, which published zero articles in 1980 and 86 articles in 2010.
