Novel strategies to manipulate Ube3a expression for the treatment of autism and Angelman syndrome  

This project aims to screen 2200 Food and Drug Administration-approved and central nervous system-active compounds to identify candidate drugs that regulate Ube3a protein expression. The principal investigator hypothesizes that alteration of Ube3a expression by drugs may prove therapeutic for 15q11-13 forms of autism and Angelman syndrome. Project Status
