University of Georgia – Carolina Autism Resource and Evaluation Center (UGA-CARES): A collaborative autism screening project utilizing web-based technology

The primary aim of this study is to compare the predictive validity of three parent-report autism specrum disorder (ASD) screening instruments for preschoolers and young children. The researchers are interested in comparing and contrasting screeners' predictions of results from a standardized diagnostic assessment, which includes a "gold standard" diagnostic measure. Researchers will also be examining whether the predictive validity of screening measures differs across racial/ethnic groups and social economic status (SES). A secondary aim of the study targets application of a web-based video analysis tool to confirm results from diagnostic evaluations. Project Status
