Description

Tabrez J. Siddiqui, Ph.D., University of British Columbia, Canada, studies synapses, and specifically, alterations in proteins that organize and maintain them, which have been implicated in ASD, schizophrenia, ADHD and intellectual disability. This project, using mice, will test the theory that disruption of a protein complex called LRRTM4-HSPG impairs cognitive function and underlies certain forms of ASD by altering brain connections.
