This reflects the portion of a LEND training grant devoted to evaluation of a parent-led curriculum in developmental disabilities (DD) for pediatric and medicine/pediatric residents. As part of LEND, a parent group independently developed a parent-led curriculum, which demonstrates the effects a disability has on the child and family, to assist in the training of medical residents. The objective of the initial study was to evaluate pediatric residents’ satisfaction with and perceived relevance of this parent-led curriculum immediately after completion of the curriculum. Currently we are measuring the longer term impact of the curriculum by surveying residents who completed the curriculum from 2002 to 2010 and who are established in their careers. LEND budget for this study is approximately $6K per year.
