Description

Description

The purpose of the project is to learn more about the cause(s) of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). As part of this, study participants undergo an initial assessment to determine study eligibility. Following that, they will undergo tests of intelligence, academic achievement, executive function, and language and communication function. A full genetics evaluation will be completed, which will include a clinical examination, an extensive family history (pedigree), and a blood sample for future attempts to identify the gene(s) that may play a role in autism.
