NIH Workshop: Ethical, Legal and Social Implications of Autism Research, sponsored jointly by the NIH Autism Coordinating Committee and the NIH Office of Autism Research Coordination convened a group of experts to consider questions related to the ethical implications associated with several different areas of autism research, including screening research, genetic testing and use of results, etiological and biological research, risk communication, research on adults with ASD, and working effectively with the self-advocate community.
