Using Delay and Denial tolerance training in the treatment of automatically maintained problem behavior |
Principal InvestigatorPrincipal Investigator |
Sassi, Jess |
DescriptionDescription |
This study evaluates the use of a communication training and fading treatment package, delay and denial tolerance training, for the treatment of automatically-maintained problem behavior. The treatment package consists of teaching a communicative response that produces access to reinforcement (free time to engage in stereotypy), and then gradually increasing delays to reinforcer production. Delays are introduced in the form of required work, and any attempts to access reinforcement are blocked during that delay interval. Data presented at ABAI 2017 |
