Over the past three year, several studies have shown that video preference assessments can also identify reienforcers for individuals with autism. These researchers suggest that video-based preference assessments are superior to other assessments, because they can capture the dynamic nature of an activity. Yet, to date, no study has directly compared the effectiveness of pictorial and video-based preference assessments. We will directly compare the efficacy of pictorial and video preference assessments in this study.
