Project Title

Mechanisms of synaptic alterations in a neuroinflammation model of autism

Principal Investigator

Principal Investigator

Dunaevsky, Anna

Description

Description

The hypothesis is that altered expression of cytokines and chemokines in the brains of offspings exposed to maternal immune activation (MIA) results in impaired synaptic development and altered behavior. Specific aims are: 1) Study how synapses are altered in offspring challenged with MIA; 2) Study the synapses development in the presence of chemokines and cytokines; 3) Determine if alteration in synapse and social behavior can be altered by anti-neuroinflammatory drug.
