Year-Round Inclusion Program  

Judson Center's Autism Connections will implement a year-round Inclusion Program. This program aims to train up to 25 community recreation providers in inclusive social and recreational practices for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in the Detroit metropolitan area over a one year period as well as to provide support to individuals with ASD that participate in these programs and their families. This program will increase the availability and quality of affordable social, leisure and recreational opportunities for individuals with ASD and their families. Project Status

Strategic Plan Objective New! Yellow dot: Objective has some degree of funding, but less than the recommended amount. 5LC. Evaluate new and existing pre-service and in-service training to increase skill levels in service providers, including direct support workers, parents and legal guardians, education staff, and public service workers to benefit the spectrum of people with ASD and promote interdisciplinary practice by 2015. IACC Recommended Budget: $8,000,000 over 5 years.
