Identification of lipid biomarkers for autism  

This study examines the fatty acid profiles of red blood cells from autistic and non-autistic patients using the leftover blood samples from clinical diagnostic laboratories to test whether polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) is a lipid biomarker for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The study will also examine the link between fatty acid profiles and genes involved in lipid metabolism. Project Status
