Agenda: | The National Institute of Mental Health and Office of Autism Research Coordination are pleased to invite you to attend our annual special event to recognize National Autism Awareness Month. We will be hosting a screening of the documentary film As One: The Autism Project, which was commissioned by Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to raise awareness of autism spectrum disorder. The event will feature a screening of the film followed by a discussion with the film director, Ms. Hana Makki, and Ms. Sharifa Yateem, a behavioral therapist who worked with the children and families featured in the film.
Agenda: 6:00 p.m. - Introductions 6:10 p.m. – Film screening 7:45 p.m. – Panel discussion For those who may be viewing the event remotely, you may watch the introductions on the webcast and then access the film via the link provided below, which will allow viewing of the full film in high definition. Once you have viewed the film, please return to the webcast to hear the discussion.
