John Schaffer

John Schaffer is a neurodivergent filmmaker and cofounder of Wild Asperagus Productions, a small video production company that makes short documentaries primarily with and about people with autism and other disabilities. John directed his first made-for-cinema movie, Vectors of Autism: A Documentary About Laura Nagle, in 2011. In addition to directing, John also edits his movies and handles a camera. John has directed eight movies with a disability theme and a similar message of acceptance and appreciation for all people.
